Story

 During his time working as a company employee in the city, the protagonist, Kuugo, fell ill, prompting him to seek refuge with his childhood friend Sousuke for recuperation. Sousuke lived in a small village called Harusu, nestled by a lagoon.

 At that time, peculiar occurrences were taking place in the village. Every weekend, significant earthquakes shook the area, accompanied by what seemed like footsteps of a giant. What could be the cause of this phenomenon known as the “Giant of Harusu”?

 As Kuugo spends time with the villagers, he gradually becomes involved in the secrets surrounding it.

 Kuugo had settled in well in the village. One day, he meets a lion man named Rai who is standing by the lagoon.

 Upon further questioning, he learns that he was staying in the wild because he was unable to find a place to stay at an inn, Kuugo lets Rai stay at Sousuke’s house without his permission.

 However, when Kuugo secretly opens Rai’s luggage, he finds a wad of bills, Kuugo wonders why Rai was staying there.

 Rai ends up living in the attic of Sousuke’s house, a secret life together, unknown to anyone, begins.

Characters

Sousuke Inami

A hotel staff.
Commutes daily for over an hour from the village to the town beyond the mountains.
He used to live in the city when he was young and used to play with the protagonist frequently. However, due to family circumstances, he moved to the village.
With the protagonist’s arrival in the village, they end up living together in the same house.

Gou Sanriku

The manager of the village’s only eatery, “Lagoon Lounge.”
He single-handedly manages the shop inherited from his parents’ generation.
Having spent all the time together since moving to the village with Sousuke, he considers him like a brother.
During his school days, he was a catcher for the baseball team.

Yuujiro Urushi

A junior at the same school as Sousuke and Gou.
He shares a particularly strong pitcher-catcher relationship with Gou, having formed a battery with him and pitched together for a long time.
He often assists at Gou’s eatery and is relied upon by him.
With an honest personality, he has many friends, but at times can be intense in his convictions and become rather impulsive.

Yamato Hitofumi

The Kansai dialect-speaking manager of the new village eatery, “Black Cat Teahouse.”
He will become a strong rival against Gou’s eatery, the “Lagoon Lounge.”
Despite being overweight, he moves swiftly and is quick-witted.
He has a habit of changing jobs frequently and has experienced various professions until now.

Arashi Hinomoto

A traveler who journeys around the world. He relocated to Harusu for a particular reason.
Due to his nomadic lifestyle, he lacks close friends and often approaches the protagonist out of loneliness.
Despite having a large physique, he is younger than the protagonist.
Having experience as an entertainer, he has a theatrical way of speaking ingrained in him.

Rai Banjou

A main character in “Lagoon Lounge 2.”
He is found by Kuugo while urinating at the outskirts of the village and ends up hiding in the attic of Sousuke’s house.

Features

We are implementing numerous additional elements for the remake of the original trilogy.

Completely graphic overhaul

Increasing the resolution from 1024×768 to 1920×1080, we’ve reworked all character sprites, backgrounds, UI, and event images. Enjoy the story with our reborn graphics.

New character

A new character, ‘Arashi Hinomoto,’ makes an appearance, adding new memories to the village.

How to apply the Patch (for Lagoon Lounge 2)

Step 1.
In the lower right corner of the title screen, there is a text entry field for Patch / MOD URL.
Ctrl＋V (Paste) the URL of the patch into this field.
Please do not mistake the patches for Lagoon Lounge 1 and Lagoon Lounge 2.

Step 2.
Click the “Apply” button below the URL, and the installation will begin automatically.

Step 3.
When “Completed” is displayed, exit the game and start it again.
If “_P” is added to the “Patch Version” at the top of the screen and it is now labeled “X.X.X_P,” you have successfully installed the game.

Note 1.
If the seek bar next to the Apply button does not move, the correct URL has not been entered.
Please enter the correct URL.

Note 2.
Make sure that the numbers in the Game Version and Patch Version fields match.
If the numbers are different, it means that the patch version is old.
If the patch version is old, the game may not run properly.

Q&A

Q. Is it possible to stream or make videos of gameplay?
A. It’s possible under certain conditions.

Lagoon Lounge… Entire main content of the all-ages version can be streamed.
Lagoon Lounge 2… Up to the fifth episode of the all-ages version can be streamed.

Given the nature of this visual novel, streaming gameplay may negatively impact purchase behavior. As creators, we hope that viewers don’t just watch the stream but also consider purchasing and playing the game themselves. Hence, we’ve set limitations on the streaming scope. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation to support ongoing game development.

Q. What are the differences between the Steam version and other site versions?
A. There are differences in patches and automatic updates.

Steam version… Only the all-ages version is available. To add R18 scenes, applying a patch is necessary. It auto-updates when there are updates.
Other site versions… Offer both the all-ages and R18 versions. No need for a patch for the R18 version. Manual downloading is required for updates.

Primarily, we’re producing based on the Steam version, so we recommend choosing it when in doubt. However, please note that the Steam version requires reapplying the R18 patch with every automatic update. Although we intend to minimize update frequencies, we appreciate your understanding in advance.

Q. When will the third and fourth installments be released?
A. The specific timing is yet to be determined.

We are progressing with this alongside the production of Knights College, so please be patient. We may report on the progress of production through Twitter, FANBOX, and other platforms, so please check those for updates.

Q. Can I create fanworks using Lagoon Lounge characters?
A. You’re free to do so as long as it doesn’t exceed the realm of fan activities.

Fanart… : Feel free to create and share. Even R18 illustrations are acceptable.

Doujinshi (fan-made comics)… : You’re free to create and distribute these. Even R18 content is acceptable.

Games… : Reverse engineering (extracting materials from the official game for use) is not allowed. However, if you’re creating content in MOD format for the Steam version, using official materials is exceptional. There have been cases in the past of unauthorized distribution of unofficial games that used official materials for an original story, which is strictly prohibited. Nevertheless, in such cases, using MOD format or self-made illustrations is acceptable.

Merchandise(Goods)… As long as it’s in moderation and part of fan activities, there’s generally no problem, though it might conflict with the official shop.
